Fruit Drops II

"May be frosted with lemon or orange frosting. Add grated lemon or orange zest for a little extra zing."

Ingredients :

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups packed brown sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup chopped candied citron
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions :

Prep : Cook : 60M Ready in :
  • Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease two baking sheets.
  • Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and spices and set aside. In a large bowl, beat the sugar and eggs until thick. Gradually blend in dry ingredients. Fold in candied citron and walnuts.
  • Drop dough by teaspoonfuls 1-1/2 inches apart onto greased baking sheets.
  • Bake for 20-30 minutes until lightly colored. Cool on wire racks.
